The People
Meet Nick
A proud native of Warrior, Nick attended Warrior Elementary, North Jefferson Middle, and Mortimer Jordan High School. After college and a career in education, he returned to his hometown to help his sister bring a longtime dream to life: opening Warrior River Coffee Company—a venture rooted in family, community, and a shared passion for great coffee.
Nick brings more than a decade of restaurant and hospitality experience to the business, including many years at Chili’s in both Fultondale and Lakeshore. Collectively, he and his sister share over 20 years of service in the industry, making them familiar faces to many across the area.
Today, Nick combines his love for people and his passion for coffee to serve the community that shaped him, building connections one cup at a time.
Fun fact: While at UAB, Nick’s coffee habit was so well-known that half the band already knew his order before he placed it.
Amanda
Co-Owner
Amanda is a proud Warrior native, having attended Warrior schools before graduating from Mortimer Jordan High School in 2005. A lifelong athlete, she grew up playing softball with both the Warrior Youth Association and Warrior High School, a passion that taught her the value of teamwork and dedication.
With over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry, Amanda has spent the last two years serving as the General Manager of Chili’s in Fultondale. Her leadership and commitment to hospitality have equipped her with the skills and perspective she now brings to Warrior River Coffee Company.
Amanda and her husband, Brian Piteo, are raising their two daughters, Kaybrie and Brinlyn (“B”), in the same community that shaped her childhood. She is excited to be part of Warrior’s growth and proud to invest in its future.
“I wouldn’t want our business to be anywhere else but our hometown!”
The Value’s
What Matters Most to Us
For us at WRCC, this isn’t just business—it’s personal. Every decision we make, every project we take on, runs through a simple filter: Does this align with who we are and why we do this?
Here’s what matters most to us:
Serving with Purpose
We want everything we do to move people forward. Our “why” is helping others build stronger futures and knowing that the work we do makes a difference.
Being Honest & Real
Trust matters. We don’t sugarcoat, and we don’t overpromise. We’re open, transparent, and upfront—because that’s how we’d want to be treated.
Doing Things Well
Good enough isn’t enough. We take pride in going the extra mile, whether it’s a simple task or a big initiative. If our name is on it, it will be done with care.
Leading with Heart
We truly care about people—their stories, their struggles, and their dreams. Compassion and empathy drive the way we show up every single day.
Growing Wisely
Not every good idea is our good idea. We make choices that allow us to grow without losing sight of what matters most: staying true to our mission.
Building Community
We believe in the power of connection. We want to work with people, not just for them, and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
What does all of this mean to you, our guest? That's when you see our name on the container, you're always getting the very best of what we can serve. You're more than just a customer, and we want you to feel like you're stepping into your home away from home when you're visiting us. So stop by and let us know 'Whatcha drankin?'
The Shop
